WIlliams Lifts is Proud to be a Family Run Business

Williams Lifts is a division of Williams Surgical which was established in 1947 by The Williams family who has now been in business well over 60 years. That’s the kind of experience level you can expect from a family run business. Most family businesses are passed down from generation to generation, bringing together sometimes a combined total of over 100 years of experience.

Thomas E. Williams first started the family business, who was later joined by his son Barry Williams in 1970 after graduating college. Barry remains the current owner, along with his wife Judy, and daughters Laura and Susan. Laura’s husband eventually came on board in 2004 to create a truly family run business.

In addition to the company leaders, our employees have been with us for so long that they’re starting to feel like family as well. They include our secretaries Nancy and Jackie, our sales representative, Scott, our head-technician, Steve F, and our service technicians/installers, Richard and Steve G.

Our technicians are almost like a family of their own, with all of them sharing the common bond of being factory-trained and certified. As a result of their expertise, our humble family business has received many letters and calls over our years in business praising the expert work done by our technicians and installers. Not to mention the kind and friendly nature which makes them a pleasure to have as a guest in your home while your equipment is being installed or repaired. It’s because of them that we have become one of the most trusted family run businesses in North Jersey.

Speaking of our technicians, we can promise they won’t disappear after the work is done. As a family run business we try to bring those family values to our customer relationships as well. That means our after-sale service is second to none. Our repair department is available for Bruno and Brooks by Acorn stairlift repairs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Here are the values we bring to our company as a family business:

  • Fair prices and quality products
  • The same standard of service before, during, and after the sale
  • Treating our customers as we treat members of our own family

When you buy from us, you’re part of the Williams Family, which means we’ll make sure your mobility needs are well taken care of. Family run businesses are also able to provide a more personal level of service. Compared to other retailers with revolving door employees, our tenured team gets to know each and every customer individually. With that level of service you can be assured your needs and requirements are met regardless of how particular they may be.

Experience the Williams difference today and buy or rent from our family business with a long history of quality work and satisfied customers.
